online poker stands strong thanks to bonus codes for us players

Friday, February 29th, 2008
by Robert Eagle

Online poker shows no sign of slowing down. The growth in the online poker industry has been helped by countless factors including television exposure, celebrity interaction, huge cash prizes, and the ease of online access. One out of every 4 Americans over the age of 21 visited a “brick and mortar” casino back in 2005 at least once. It’s no wonder that the US makes up for 70%+ of the total online poker players.

It is predicted that by 2011, US poker players will only make up half of the market because of the countless broadband internet access growing around the world. The US poker player market will still grow as well, just not as fast as the rest of the world. There are currently ten large online poker rooms that gladly accept US player deposits.

Bonus deposit codes are offered by affiliates who are contracted by the big poker rooms. Most poker rooms offer incentives via affiliate programs to entice new players to sign up. Deposit bonuses vary but some go over 100% and match deposits up to $1,000 and more.

Many poker rooms offer affiliate programs which in turn produces a bonus code or an affiliate link that gives the affiliate a bounty for bringing the new player to the site. This goes for online poker, sportsbooks, and casinos.

A poker room generates revenue by the “rake”. Rake is not contingent upon winning or losing money. The poker site makes a profit by taking a certain percent of money out of the poker pot. One additional way online poker sites generate revenue is by taking a part of tournament entry fees.

Rake is typically calculated at around 5% of the pot and up to 10% of a tournament entry fee. That may not sound like much, but it equates to billions of dollars in revenue for the online poker and gaming barrons. The poker promotion codes help create nearly half of this revenue thanks to affiliates.

If the U.S. government decides to regulate online poker, it is estimated that they will raise almost $3 billion dollars a year. This would be a hit for the profit of us poker rooms, but would probably let them sleep better at night if they were in accordance with the law.

US poker rooms that user promotion incentives for US players, and bonus deposits, are blessed with one the most prosperous internet market in history. A few gaming website owners have become billionaires. Poker is here to stay and the growth looks strong for the next five years.

choosing your slot game

Thursday, February 28th, 2008
by Steve Briggs

How do people go about choosing the slot machine they ultimately play? Do they choose it because of the slot machine’s theme? Perhaps they’re prompted by the colors of the game? Perhaps they like that game’s wild symbol? Finance most likely plays a part for some players. If you’re on a fixed budget you may not opt for that high-end slot game. By the same token a player more interested in the bigger payoffs isn’t going to be interested in a smaller investment/smaller payoff slot game. So surely there is a financial edge to this decision.

We’ve all heard that saying about how the slots at the land casinos always pay off best at the front of the casino because people see those machines paying off and are tempted to enter and gamble. There is also the saying that you should never play two slot machines which are side by side because the casino would not put two machines that pay off in a high percentage right next to each other. And perhaps there is some truth to that, it certainly makes sense.

None of the above except finance really comes into play though when discussing the habits of the online gambler. What drives their decision process when choosing an online slot game besides the cost? I’m sure to a degree that word of mouth plays a part. Hearing someone else won a nice chunk of money while playing a certain game will likely drive interest to that game. Microgaming software powered casinos feature some brand name slot games such as “Tomb Raider”, that surely carries a following.

What goes into your decision making process when choosing a slot game online? Once a slot game is chosen its pretty easy to guess from there what it is that keeps a player loyal to that game. They hit a nice win at some time while playing the game or else know somebody who won a lot of money playing that game. Other possible reasons for keeping a player loyal to a certain slot game would be some type of option it has which is unique such as serial game where you collect parts to complete a whole. Perhaps it has a unique way of paying out such as a bonus screen, free spins or perhaps a multiplier.

For those still seeking a process for choosing a slot game may I suggest first taking a financial approach and choosing a game which you can afford to play for an extended period of time or more than a few spins. All slot games are designed to payout higher amounts but less often so you will almost surely need more than a few spins before you can reasonably hope for hitting a big win. Of course I wish you better luck than that and some will experience quick wins but any experienced slot player will tell you its unlikely to happen very often.

Keep watching the casino newsletters and websites for the “recent big winners” section. They often will provide which game the big win was attained and in a short period of time you may see the same game appearing more often than others. Of course it is very possible that particular game is just hitting a lucky stride but its a better starting point than just choosing a game because you like its colors. That said when you’re feeling lucky go with your gut and you’ll seldom have regrets. You may not win but you won’t at the end of the day question “what if I’d followed my gut instincts?”.

online casinos that don’t pay

Thursday, February 28th, 2008
by Steve Briggs

Many novices to online gambling think that the games are fixed or that if an online casino is going to cheat them its by having games that don’t pay off but that is a misconception. Many online casinos lease the games they provide their players and have no control over how those games payout. And the payout is of no concern to the game providers as long as it is meeting the expected fair-odds results the electronic world both online and at land-based casinos have come to expect that it should. The games use the same program used in land-based casino video poker games to decide its results which has been working flawlessly for years.

The game providers are all about reputation. As long as their games have a good reputation of providing fair-odds results the game software will continue to be accepted by the online gambling world even if a casino that uses that software gains a bad reputation. In other words one bad apple won’t make the whole bunch bad as long as that bad apple is bad because of something it does and not something the software resulted in happening.

Most online casinos with a bad reputation have gained that nasty honor because they didn’t pay players on large cash-ins. Players won they just didn’t get paid and that is one area the software game providers will not get involved. Microgaming casino software, the leader in the industry, has been known to always make sure players got paid any money that was left in an account of a casino which went out of business that was powered by that software but that is the extent of them stepping in and doing anything on behalf of the players.

Some online casinos lease a game software which is much less expensive than Microgaming and it is anybody’s guess how stable they require the casinos to be financially before they will lease the games out. This is scary news for the average online gambler not savvy to which establishments to avoid and which to spend their time and money. The idea behind not having any requirements for financial backing is that the losses will pay the winners and the casino owner makes a percentage of the profits.

This is all good for the casino owner but if they should happen to experience several big winners at the same time it is questionable whether everyone will get paid? Or at least on what kind of time schedule? If you’re wondering which casinos might not be financially sound a good place to start looking is in their terms and conditions concerning payouts or cash-ins. Some of the casinos will have a maximum amount they pay out per week/month and this little treat is not made known on the front page of the casino’s website nor is it often seen publicized anywhere but the one place it has to be included which is the fine print or “terms and conditions” page of the casino. Its not like they are doing anything wrong but a lot of players are not aware of this until after they win enough it becomes a concern or obstacle to that player’s choice of how much they may have wanted to cash out at one time or over a short period of time.

To prevent such a situation from happening with casinos using their software, …. some parent software companies have financial requirements that must be met beyond just the cost of leasing their product, in order to be able to lease their games and one of those requirements is the casino can prove it is financially sound or else they will not consider them as clients. In some cases the parent software company may handle the banking along with providing the games and the casino owner takes a smaller percentage for themselves.

One last thought to consider is that “exclusive software” is not generally a good thing. That means the software was created by the casino in which case it can be altered by the casino.

Selecting The Right Online Casino Portal

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
by Steve Briggs

Choosing your online casino through a casino portal compared to choosing one through a search engine is the difference between going to battle against an army single handed or with an army of your own. Yes it is that big of difference if you choose your online casino from a reputable online casino portal.

Established casino portals often times weed out the worst of the online casino the minute you step in the door. The worst of the bunch don’t pay their debts to either their players nor their those places they advertise so it doesn’t take a really unscrupulous casino long before they wear out their welcome with nearly every possible media source except those that they pay up front to get placement on those sites.

These same unscrupulous casinos have lots of money to work with however since they don’t ever pay anybody (except players cashing in small wins - those are always paid for the same reason a nickel bag of heroin has some potency …. to keep the customer coming back) and since they find only a small number of places willing to let them advertise they put a large portion of their advertising funds towards gaining top ranking in the natural search engine results of google, yahoo and the other major search engines. When they see a player has wandered in from the search engines they know that player arrives completely on their own.

On the other hand a player choosing a gaming establishment from a reputable casino portal can expect a much higher percentage of probability they won’t encounter problems. If they do encounter trouble they can contact the webmaster of the casino portal where they chose that casino and ask for help. Most reputable casino portals are willing to help if contacted.

Its also good to know that casinos advertised in the spam you receive in email should never be visited. Any offer you see in an email can be gained if you visit that same casino from your local portal and if that casino isn’t advertised then there may well be a good reason for that. Gamblers are risk takers by nature but trusting online casinos that come with no reputable entity vouching for that casino is literally playing Russian roulette with your private information and your money. If on the outside chance the same offer isn’t made at the casino portal don’t worry. Simply continue to choose that casino through a link on the casino portal and then after signing up at the casino ….. before you deposit anything …. contact casino support and tell them you want the offer you got in an email. They will honor the email offer and you’ll still get the protection of the casino portal behind you.

Casino portals have a much bigger part in the play than most people are aware. They are largely the biggest reason casinos pay their players whenever there is any kind of dispute. History has proven that in most cases the casino had chosen to not do the honorable thing until they were pressured into it by the casino portal owners (whom I remind represent literally millions of players when combined). Bonus offer disputes that have fallen into the victory category for players are all due to the adamant insistence of portal owners.

Several communities exist where the portal owners are in constant contact with casino management which is how we are able to get things accomplished that the average player could never reach. Reputable online casinos not only offer fair-odds games and pay their players but they also care very much about customer satisfaction. However like with any business whether online or land-based, once that business reaches the large size that is demanded for running an online casino the top often doesn’t know what’s happening at the bottom. One bad customer support agent can make an entire company look bad and the company has no way of knowing about it ….. unless you had signed to play at that casino through a reputable online casino portal in which case you could contact that site owner and have them look into the matter.

Reputable portal owners want to know we are providing the best in online gambling entertainment and this is the exact sort of conversation topic that is discussed every day at the communities where we and casino management gather. So the next time you choose your online casino …… first choose a reputable online casino portal.

What’s So Funny About Attorneys?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
by Rick London

If you find it strange that a cartoonist would be writing a semi-serious article about law and lawyers, please allow me to explain, or lead the witness if I may. In some ways, I have carte blanche to do so.

I come from a family of attorneys. One of my direct maternal ancestors was Supreme Court Judge Benjamin Cardozo. That name might not mean much to many, but it does within the legal community. His word, still, a century or so later, remains the final word on Constitutional Law.

I have gone out with numerous attorneys and done business with others. Some are very astute, and some not so good. I have watched them in the courtroom. Sometimes it is dramatic, sometimes a bit drab. But I continue to have an affinity for the law, given that it is in my blood, I guess. Of course my mother insisted upon either law or medical school for me, so like the good rebellious baby-boomer of the 60’s, I became a cartoonist. At least I could make people laugh purposely. People laugh at lawyers, and often the attorney in question does not appreciate it. But how can we help it? I know, I know. Most of them look at their job as we do ours. They are simply “doing it”. There are good lawyers and bad ones and some mediocre just like any other profession.

Honestly, most lawyers of whom I have been associated simply take their jobs and cases seriously. Sure, like everyone else in business, money is a motivator, but not always the primary motivator. Many, yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus, (or clause in this case), many have a very altruistic side, and take the law seriously and try their best to perform it professionally. Knowing a good attorney can make all the difference in one’s life and/or business.

As the old joke goes, “It is the 98% of dishonest lawyers who give the other 2% a bad name”. It’s a great joke, but really far from reality. Many lawyers are just doing their job, just like you and me.

Sometimes hiring a lawyer can be expensive, and several Internet-savvy lawyers have launched websites in which the common layman can read, study, and learn about law and legal forms, and actually pay and download template forms from the sites at a fraction of the cost of hiring a law firm. Some of these sites include Findlaw.com, Legalzoom.com, and the up-and-coming Lawkipedia.org, which has not yet been launched but is in the plans for this year. It will probably be the most exciting and different of all the other legal websites, just from what I understand regarding the planning.

Business disagreements do not have to turn into courtroom law. Mediation has become very popular and there are ways to work out such conflicts, often, and bring the parties even closer, once they realize they have similar goals, simply different ideas as to how to reach those goals. That is okay. It is often done by more professional persons, who is not out to “trash” a partner or remove him/her from the scene. Mediation is very popular these days because it solves a simple problem before it grows into something too big.

Law remains a source of interest (and entertainment) for me. I make sure to do a great many law related cartoons, and produce funny lawyer gifts. Even though many of them poke fun at lawyers, I find the majority have a great sense of humor, and more often than not, when the orders come in for our gifts and collectibles featuring lawyer cartoons, the names have a “comma and Esquire” at the end, in other words, our biggest customers who love to make fun of themselves, in fact, lawyers, some of the biggest buyers of our law-related cartoon gifts and collectibles.

Psychics Can Help You To Dream Big

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
by Charlie Reese

Dreams have always intrigued people from all over the world. Some people think that a good dream is something that should be looked upon as a message. Many people from around the world are intrigued by their dreams and they often will tell you that their dreams have to mean something. People are often compelled by the meaning behind dreams. Sigmund Freud even wrote a book about dreams and what they can possibly mean. Biblical characters such as Joseph (step-father of Jesus Christ) stated that an angel visited him in a dream and told him that his fiance Mary was to bear a son and he shall be called the prince of peace and Lord of Lords. He believed that this dream had great significance to his life. A lot of people around the world want to see a dream as a warning sign or an eye opener. People have often followed their dreams and became something great because of it.

William Shakespeare had a dream of becoming a writer. It is said that he used to dream about this and really believe that he was going to become a published author and it happened. People all over the world want to do something with their life and our dreams can often help to guide and to lead us on a proper path. Some people find their dreams to be to unrealistic. A common dream is a person falling off of a cliff. This dream has been shared by millions of people around the world.

The dream does not mean that you will literally fall off of a hill. It simply means that there is great potential there for you to fall into a mess of some sort. Your dreams have great meaning; however it may have hidden meanings behind them. The best thing to do is to ask God what your dream means and he will stand right beside you and teach you what the meaning of your dream is. The more that you understand a dreams meaning, the more you will be able to see and hear that your dream makes total sense. You can read dream interpretation books as well. These will help you to define your dream. You can also speak to a live psychic such as Stephen Piperno. He is the author of, Is Life Worth It? Sex, Money and Power from a Psychics Point of View. Many psychics like him and others can help you to find meaning behind your dreams and what they can offer someone else. A true dream is something that can have significant meaning to you alone.

Wordpress Goldmine - Listen All Internet Marketing Guys

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008
by Tony

It is seldom that an e-book is published on a certain subject, which clearly shows just how useless others already available are.

Well, with the publication of WordPress Goldmine this is just what has happened. Where most of the other affiliate marketing guides ask you to focus on finding the right product through Clickbank and the likes and then creating blog in order to market it.

With WordPress Goldmine you will find that this is not what you need to do, and there is something better.

Instead through this book you will learn about different aspects concerning not only finding the right domain names but also the right and best products to promote on your sites.

This e-book takes an in-depth look at not just the processes but also the different kinds of sites one can build.

It also provides you with live examples that actually provide the value in this e-book unlike any other ebooks. What seems to make this book so special is that those who have already used it have found it easy to follow because the author has broken it up into five separate user friendly sections.

Section one of the book looks at the ways of using WordPress for building blogs and takes you through the various phases of not just setting up but also running your blog in the shortest amount of time.

Included within this section of the book are some bonus videos that will further help you to understand the whole process of making blogs from the beginning to end.

Whilst in section two of the book you will learn about the different kind of content you can use in your wordpress blog. In this section of the book, the author covers everything from using the PLR articles to original content. In here, you will also find out how to get unique content posted to your blog regularly and completely for free (yes, free) and which will help you to develop yours in no time at all.

After reading section 3 you move onto section 4 and in this part of the book the author will explain the different methods that can be used to promote the blog sites that you build.

There is an easy to follow diagram chart in this section which lists the kinds of sites that one can utilize and which will in turn help to make yours a success rather than a failure.

Again this section is real value for money simply because it is not often you will be provided with details of a traffic generation system for your site that is easy to master.

In the final section of this book, it helps you to take your website promotion to a completely different level when building your site.

Although some may find this section a little daunting, the author has included several warnings at the beginning of it stating that you should have in fact mastered the other sections of the book before you move on to this one.

How Do You Make Profit With Affiliate Marketing?

Sunday, February 24th, 2008
by Anson Hall

You may have heard that it is very easy to make money with affiliate marketing. This is because you do not need to take care of issues such as payment process, inventory, customer services and so on. You will only need to pre sell the customers and direct them to the website of the merchant.

In fact, affiliate program is just like a joint venture. The merchants have some products to sell. What they need are marketing plans. And on the other hand you do not have the products but you can help in the marketing plans. You will try to pre sell the visitors to your website and the merchant will pay you if a particular visitor purchases the product.

You can search in search engines in order to find the affiliate programs out there. However, you should never just join a program without thinking thoroughly. It is even more important if a program requires you to pay before you join. As a matter of fact a lot of affiliate programs are free to join and it will be safer to stay away from programs which require you to pay. Regarding the programs, Clickbank, Azoogle and Commision Junction can be your choices since they are proved to be reliable.

If you have the chance, you should join second tie programs. This means that you can also be paid when your second ties make profits. This is very important since you will be able to make passive income. This is just like a lot of people are working for you if you can have plenty of good second ties.

Consider the website you are going to create, you have to bear in mind that your website should be focusing on one niche only. Never try to create a website which is about a few different niches. It just does not work! The website you build will be related to the products you promote. This will enable you to pre sell the products in an easier way.

You should also try various methods to drive traffic to your website. You may launch PPC campaigns and buy advertisement spaces in other websites. You may also do some search engine optimization. The point is that you will have higher chance of making profit if you can make more people visit your website.

There are a lot of people who make their living with affiliate marketing. There are some marketers who can even make huge amount of money everyday with it. If you have not joined an affiliate program yet, why not start working and you may become another successful affiliate marketer.
