What Is Article Marketing.-Some Answers

Friday, October 31st, 2008
by Rob Metras

When people use the Internetas a reference, to make travel arrangements, to shop, for work, school, or playthey often find themselves reading articles on a wide variety of topics. The term \”article marketing\” may well be unfamiliar to them, but it has had an effect on what they read and see.

What is article marketing? Well put in simple terms it is an effective way to promote an internet business website. Article Marketing is a website promotion and Internet marketing tool which posts articles written by a person on article syndication sites. This article is then republished by others on their website or blog. This leads to a wider reach of the article to people on the internet. Well this answers the previous question of what is article marketing. Many article syndication sites allow the writer to post his article for free.

Many readers who wish to reuse or include a particular article on their site are allowed to do so by article syndication sites but they impose some conditions. The condition could be that the person who uses the article should give credit to its writer and must retain any links given in the article. This increases the popularity of the writer as more and more people will read the article.

If you want to write an article for syndication, an important early step is deciding on the keyword for the article. Keywords affect the article’s popularity. You do not want to choose a keyword that is so obscure that it will rarely be a search topic, but you also don’t want to choose a word so common that your article is one of a large number that appear when searching. Choosing the appropriate keyword may require a great deal of thought.

An article directory is a website where the author posts his article. The reason why article posting is cost free is that the directory owner put ads on very article page and earns income from the advertising. This also helps the article directory site because it becomes popular on search engines as more and more articles are posted and read by people. This arrangement helps both the article author and the directory owner as the author gets free posting of his article and the directory owner has more people reading the article.

There are blogs that give writers tips on writing for article marketing. These blogs give guidelines on selecting good topics and on writing. In addition, authors can find guidelines on writing marketing articles on various web sites, as well as finding general information on how to write a good article.

Sometimes the author of an article will be given the choice to control the advertising space on his article’s page on a directory site. This means that the author will be able to choose which ads appear on the page, and will receive the earnings from the advertising posted on the article page. The author may even choose to remove all advertising.

To get more traffic, write articles that are short, in the 400-600 word range. People generally prefer articles that get directly to the point and provide an overview of the topic rather than an in-depth treatment. They will chose to read the shorter articles rather than longer ones.

The Worry Could - and May - Happen in NCAA Football

Friday, October 31st, 2008
by Simon M Skinner

The SEC is looking exciting again. USC has a great team this year; Ohio State looks good on paper but seems to fold when it really counts. Some things stay the same in college football year in and year out. One thing which is also a constant in the sport is that there are big upsets every week, meaning that the only safe bet is that there are no safe bets! You should bet on your hunches; but be ready to be chastised when this backfires on you, as will happen from time to time.

Everyone has their own system for betting on college football games. The best rule to follow is that upsets are to be expected. When making your picks , keep these common upset scenarios in mind.

A team recently win a big game and may be still riding high on that success, failing to make themselves ready for the next game.
A team within the conference which is unranked is the opponent. They may not be the best known team, but they know who they are up against.
A team which is playing a nationally televised game; particularly if they are not used to receiving this kind of attention.
There are a multitude of other possible scenarios for an upset, of course, but these are as good of a starting point as any.

Upsets have already been happening in the 2008 season. USC has lost to Oregon State when everybody and their mother practically wrote USC into the BCS Championship game. Everybody was even predicting the Oregon State game to be a “let down” game for USC, and low and behold, it turned out to be true. Ole Miss beat Florida with some big plays and a little bit of luck. Of course, anything can happen in the SEC. But what do both of these games have in common? They were unranked, conference opponents!

Sometimes it’s harder to predict unranked upsets. This is especially true if an unranked team doesn’t play in the Bull Subdivision. In fact, last season, Michigan was beaten by Appalachian State in the “Big House.” Bowl games, too, are protected from upsets. If anyone remembers the incredible game played between Oklahoma and Boise State, that’s one example. That totally debunks the theory that the big program will always win the big game.

With some nontraditional powers in the Top 25, some more of those BCS Bowl game upsets could happen this year too. BYU, Utah and Boise State are all teams that could shock a big power in front of a national audience in a big bowl game. Wake Forest and Connecticut aren’t known for their football programs, but they have enough talent that they could factor into some all-time memorable upsets in a big bowl game as well.

This is my point ? you need to be prepared for upsets. Keep an eye out for the common upset scenarios I described above and never operate on autopilot when placing your bets online. There are no 100% guarantees in life or in college football. Think carefully about the matchup and try to identify likely upsets before the game and you could bring in some serious cash by betting wisely.

Picking A Casino

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
by Rich Vial

With tons of casinos online, picking one to play at can seem difficult, but it really isn’t because many of them are so similar. They offer similar deposit and cash out options, email support, telephone support, etc. A lot of them use the same software and therefore even offer the same games. The big thing I look at are the deposit bonuses, reload bonuses and different promotions.

I am always trying to get more for my money so if I am looking at two similar casinos and one has a 100% bonus on a $100 deposit and another casino has a 200% bonus on a $100 deposit I am going to go to the casino with the 200% bonus. Some may have free money with no deposit necessary. Some casino’s offer a set time limit of free play, which you get to keep your winnings. Even others offer a set amount of free spins, you get to keep these winning also. What you have to remember is you have to play these winnings several times before you can withdraw them.

If you are not all about the money you can take a look at the games they offer to help you make a decision. Some gamblers are all about the casinos games, but other gamblers may want a one stop shop where they can play poker, bet on sports, and play casino games. If you don’t want to narrow your casino choices down by bonuses or games then you can read reviews. When you decide that you want to start gambling online you better hold off on playing with real money because you could lose your shirt in a hurry. If you want to be successful playing with real money then you better play for fun to get used to the games.

When I say play for fun I mean play like you would play if real money was on the line. Do not bet $50 a hand on blackjack if you would not do it with real money. Do not play $5 slots if you would not do it normally with real money. Remember that the casino’s are trying to get you to deposit so play money slots and blackjack will allow you to win a lot more than you normally would. Just remember that if you win practicing does not mean your ready to win with real money.

Another thing you have to do is spend real time practicing. Do not play 30 minutes in the fun lobby and think you are a professional. You should spend at least 15 hours playing for fun per game before you make a deposit. In addition to practicing, you should read around the web, their are tons of websites online that have tips and articles that can help you become more successful when you gamble online.

How to Play Craps in Your Home With a Casino Feel

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
by Matthew Sagehouse

Perhaps, the most exhilarating table in a casino is the craps table. This high energy game of dice rolling and betting is enjoyed by many in casinos. Are you one of those? If so, you should know that there is an entire line of craps tables and supplies that can provide everything you need to have casino style craps games in your very own home.

The luxurious and fancy casino style craps table should be hard to duplicate, with the smooth shiny felt, fancy mirrors, and stylish pyramid rubber bumpers. These special features combined with the elegant wood work and padded rails make the task difficult but not impossible, since there are several options available with all of these features.

If you need something that is easier to store when you are finished with it, then you should consider purchasing a craps felt layout. These layouts are made of felt and have printed on them, a craps game layout. You can spread them out on your kitchen or dining room table and when you are finished, they can be folded up to be easily put away.

Many would say craps is all about the dice. With several options available for casino dice, you can purchases simple play dice with Las Vegas wording on them or opt for precision dice. The precision dice have sharp crisp edges for proper balance, are generally serialized, are available in four different colors, and come in packs of five.

Additional accessories are available for your craps game and they include a dice stick, a dice boat, a buy/lay button, and an on/off button. The long flexible dice sticks are available in 36 inch and 48 inch versions.

There are some other basic supplies you need for your craps game. One of them is the On/Off button. This button is used by individual players in an ongoing craps game to indicate whether their bets are on or called off. You also will need a larger On/Off puck to be used by the dealer to mark the point and to indicate when the point is off, during the first round of a craps game.

If a player wishes to place a bet that a particular point, other than the current point, will be rolled before a 7 is rolled, then the buy bet is placed. This bet is marked by using the Buy side of the Buy/Lay button. To mark a bet with opposite intentions, that is; the 7 will be rolled before a particular point, the Lay side will be used to mark the respective point. This is called a lay bet. The Buy/Lay button is a very important part of the game of craps.

Carlos `Charlii1` Miranda is out!!

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

Everest Poker had only 1 player remaining in the tournament, that is Carlos 'charlii1' Miranda, an EVP Qualifier.

He had 8300 in chips, but with 400/800 and 200 ante it was always going to be tough.

Unfortunately he was sent to the rail in an unbelievable hand, when he held AA and Sorel Mizzi, the player before him raised to 5000 preflop. Carlos called. Irt all went down like this:

Carlos: AA

Mizzi: 9 10

Flop:
A Q K

Turn:
7

River:
J

So Charlii1`s set of aces was beaten by the straight of Mizzi. Thats what most call a bad beat. He was out on the 150th place.

Watching the World Poker Tour

Thursday, October 30th, 2008
by Simon Carlsson

Texas Hold Em is a favorite card game among poker players.

2002 proved to be a monumental year courtesy of Steve Lipscomb. He started the World Poker Tour as a way to showcase the best in the business and it has proved to be a phenomenal success, both with poker players and with the television viewing public. The Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada is the host of the event and players from all over the world come to try a live hand. If you want to get into the WPT, then you are not alone.

There are two ways to enter the WPT. The first is through winning another poker tournament and being invited to join. The second way is to buy in to the tournament. The amounts vary between $2500 to $25,000. If you have the money to play the card game, then you are in and are able to compete against some of the biggest names in the country and the world.

Thanks to modern technology, the public has a front row seat at the poker table.

Unfortunately, the spin off show to the World Poker Tour, the Professional Poker Tour, was not able to enjoy the same success as the WPT.

The viewing public can see the cards that each player is holding. It adds a bit of excitement as each person wonders how far that player will go based on their hand. It is an excellent learning opportunity for anyone trying to study the game and get some poker tips, as well as trying to learn how to read another player’s tell tale signs of bluffing or when they are truly holding a great hand.

The sixth season of WPT is shaping up to be just as exciting as the previous five seasons with many of the biggest names in the business returning to duke it out with each other in the hopes of being crowned champion. WPT did have a spin-off show called the Professional Poker Tour but it was unable to find a home on a network. Sit back in your comfortable arm chair and get ready to watch the excitement of the WPT.

Timeshare Resorts, Are They A Better Option?

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008
by Dane Masters

If you and your partner, or family like to travel a lot, then maybe a timeshare resort would be a better option than booking an expensive hotel room. Fantastic timeshare properties are located throughout the world, and can be accessed through a number of different options. Various timeshare resorts require interested parties to purchase a membership in their group, which then allows them to have access to a number of available timeshare listings at any given time.

Timeshare properties take the form of apartments, houses, duplex, suites in a resort, condo’s and villas, it all really depend what the group has in their listing. There are ownership and rental options available and exchanges may be made through your particular timeshare group. This creates endless variety and many vacation destinations.

Every kind of traveler has access to different timeshare options, there is something for everyone. We are all different and enjoy different recreational facilities and time. This is why timeshare resorts are so good; they have every kind of accommodation. Condo’s on the beach, private villas on the coast, secluded in tropical foliage, suites overlooking up-market golf courses and even houses on private swimming beaches, next to a lagoon with a boat dock, all to your-selves.

The attractiveness of a timeshare resort is easily it affordability. They are more economical, particularly for longer stays. If it is your choice to vacation for two to four weeks at a time the costs are far more reasonable than they would be in a hotel. The accommodation is suited for long stays and they are fully equipped with bed linen, cooking facilities such as microwaves, cookware, dishes and cutlery. They contain everything anyone would need in a home from home.

The internet is a great place to check out timeshare resorts. People advertise timeshare rentals and sales in many fantastic locations. They are easier to get into for frequent travelers and cost less than the traditional family vacation. Buying into a timeshare cooperative offers frequent travelers a better choice of destinations and are a good investment. They may be resold, rented and exchanged for a different location. Traveling and vacations are an expensive business, so the timeshare resort option makes sense and there is something available for every budget. Resorts have tours and this is one of the ways you can get to preview resorts prior to buying in. You will be able to take the tour, and get all the information you need without making any financial commitment.
